The Butter Space
The Butter Space Magazine is an independent print publication celebrating contemporary culture, fashion, and visual art across two published issues. The challenge: creating an expressive editorial experience that balances bold visual experimentation with intimate, story-driven layouts.
In collaboration with Cindy Baar, I led the editorial design, grid architecture, and typographic direction for both editions. I established a raw, tactile visual language characterized by high-contrast typographic treatments, playful layout hierarchies, and a vibrant spot-color palette framing the featured photography.
Across both issues, the publication stands as a physical artifact of editorial craft, merging streetwear aesthetics with contemporary publication design to deliver a distinct, uninhibited visual rhythm.
